The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Director of Sales, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Formulate and implement a detailed sales plan that aligns with the organization’s objectives.
  • Guide and support regional sales leaders while utilizing application engineers effectively.
  • Develop and maintain connections with major cloud service providers, server/networking original equipment manufacturers, and GPU clients.
  • Work closely with portfolio marketing teams to ensure customer requirements are reflected in product roadmap updates.
  • Predict quarterly sales figures and assess long-term demand across different regions.
  • Communicate customer insights internally to shape product development and enhance support services.
  • Promote collaborative sales initiatives with ecosystem partners, including CPU, GPU, FPGA, and memory suppliers.
  • Skillfully negotiate agreements and pricing to optimize revenue.
  • Foster and sustain robust customer relationships throughout the sales process.
  • Keep informed about industry developments, competitor actions, and customer preferences.

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Seven (7) years of interconnect or materials science technology sales in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver’s License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Five (5) years of technical sales leadership in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Skills include value-based selling, go-to-market strategy planning, and product management

Work location: West coast remote

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic and 25% international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
