Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Appointment Setter

A Sales Development Representative (SDR) or Appointment Setter is an entry-to-junior sales role focused on the top of the sales funnel. You identify, contact, and qualify potential customers (leads) through outbound and inbound activities, then set qualified appointments or demos for the closing sales team (Account Executives). This is typically a high-activity, metrics-driven position in B2B sales, SaaS, services, or similar industries. Conduct high-volume outbound calls to prospects from the provided contact database. Leave professional voicemails for prospects who do not answer (highest priority task). Reconnect with leads that previously showed no traction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Outreach: Research target companies and decision-makers, build prospect lists, and conduct high-volume cold calling, emailing, and multi-channel outreach (LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Lead Qualification: Engage prospects to understand their needs, budget, and fit; qualify leads
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings/demos and provide detailed notes/handover for the sales team.
  • Pipeline Management: Track activities and leads in a CRM (e.g., ZoomInfo, Salesforce), meet daily/weekly targets for calls, emails, and meetings set.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Client and sales teams to refine messaging and improve conversion rates.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years in sales, business development, inside sales, telemarketing, or appointment setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with phone-based outreach and handling objections.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and goal-oriented with strong time management.

Familiarity with CRM tools and sales tech (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, ZoomInfo) is a plus.
