This position reports to: Global Sales Support Leader

Your role and responsibilities

Within Control Product Group scope, support the local sales and product marketing teams in the assigned set of countries with technical and commercial tasks. Serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. Reporting to the Control Product Group GSS Team Leader, your strong technical and market knowledge will assist you in providing customers with efficient and effective solutions.

Location: Global, with a preference for China.

Work model: hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Offering technical advice and support on enquiries about ABB Motor Starting & Safety / Control products and their applications to ABB Local Sales Organizations based on product portfolio and country allocation.
  • Being the daily relay between Local Markets and ABB experts (Product Managers, Engineers, Pricing team,...) to provide our stakeholders with outstanding customer experience.
  • Educating and empowering the ever-growing ABB Local Teams to find answers on their own and assist when medium level technical support is needed toward any third-party stakeholder.
  • Maintaining prices up to date using the available tools according to price policy. Working toward reducing blanks in our pricelist and coordinate with our Market Development Manager, Pricing and Local Teams. Supporting verification of technical and financial coherence of offers or Bills of Materials. Supporting the development of new sales opportunities and resolution to specific customer problems.
  • Supporting customers during their visits to local factory site if applicable.

Qualifications for the role

  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering and/or a solid technical background or experience in electrotechnics.
  • With specific experience and expertise in the field of technical and sales support for Motor Starting & Safety or other products in low voltage applications market.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Salesforce, advanced knowledge of Excel, Power BI will be considered a plus.
  • A strong customer-focused mindset and willpower that contribute to our future success. In addition, self-motivation, curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies as well as a collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Availability for business travel (travelling to Europe is expected 1 – 2 times per year, to other ABB places in America or Asia might happen sporadically).
  • Fluent professional English is required.
