Your Role & Responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification Business.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Sells products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.
- Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
- Prepares sales plans using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
- Operate within Salesforce.com to help the sales team accurately track opportunity pipelines and assist finance and operational leaders with project forecasting.
- Use product configurator software to develop effective technical proposals and equipment layout drawings per customer plans and specifications.
- Collaborate across business lines to help leverage ABB's entire product portfolio.
- Provide technical and logistical support to ABB customers and channel partners.
- Ensures efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
- Prepares offers in accordance with customer contract documents (plans & specs), and in collaboration with proposal department, factory & pricing team.

Qualifications for the Role:
- Minimum two years of relevant experience
- BS Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering or industrial engineering.
- Passion for success, learning and teamwork is a must.
- Experience with technical presentations, oral communication abilities in person and over the phone, drafting professionally written emails and technical documents is important.
- Experience with customer service and managing client expectations is desired.
- Must be currently authorized to work for ABB in the US
