Key responsibilities
As a Sales Account Manager in the LV IEC Motors Division, you report to the Local Division Manager LV IEC Motors Germany. You are responsible for implementing the local sales strategy and significantly contributing to the achievement of revenue and growth targets. Your efforts support sustainable order growth, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You manage and enhance existing customer relationships, develop new business opportunities in line with the global strategy, and continuously monitor market competition. Additionally, you bring your professional and interpersonal skills to the leadership, development, and coaching of the sales organization to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales goals through high performance.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Implementation of the local sales and growth strategy in alignment with global/local division goals: development and execution of business plans and sales campaigns to achieve divisional targets
- Acquisition and development of new customers, management and expansion of existing customer relationships, including participation in and leadership of key negotiations
- Definition, tracking, and achievement of targets based on established KPIs such as Order Received (OR), Revenue, and Gross Margin
- Conducting market and competitor analyses: reviewing sales targets, analyzing customer needs, and monitoring competitors in coordination with the sales and marketing team; adjusting strategies to maintain competitive advantage
Qualifications for the role
- Degree in business, engineering, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in sales of technical products, with strong affinity for cold acquisition and pronounced customer orientation and communication skills
- Several years of experience in sales management, preferably in electric drive technology (electric motors, frequency converters, digital services, controls, services), with a proven track record of growth and business development
- In-depth market and technical knowledge of the drive technology industry across all customer segments (e.g., project and serial business OEMs, distribution partners, and end customers)
- Fluent in German and English (business proficiency)
- High willingness to travel
- Cooperative and solution-oriented working style, strong negotiation skills, excellent presentation and communication abilities
