Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking now for a Sales Manager to join our team at the Distribution Solutions division in Vaasa. In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of medium voltage level related solutions in Finland. You will work with multiple sales channels as well as stakeholders both externally and internally while driving business impact connecting the dots across ABB Electrification as needed. Please note that this position requires traveling mainly inside Finland.

The key for this role is collaboration and having an active, open mindset for creating solutions to help our customers succeed in their business. As you will be working in co-operation with our local sales team and our supplying factories to create business, a team player with a "can do"-attitude with good communication skills are highly appreciated parts of your personality. Because of this your language skills will be assessed during the interview process, as successful performance in this role requires fluent communication with Finnish-speaking customers and English-speaking factory representatives.

The work model for this role is Li-Hybrid with focus on office presence preferably in Vaasa. Other ABB Finland locations can be considered.

You will mainly be accountable for:

  • Being accountable for medium voltage solution sales to meet our set targets
  • Collaborating closely with sales managers, product specialists, and engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Preparing competitive and accurate technical and commercial quotations for medium voltage solutions
  • Executing marketing activities to create awareness and to communicate offered value in ABB solutions among channel partners and end customers
  • Co-operating with our supplying factory sales team to meet sales targets and to find new sustainable solutions to meet market needs
  • Supporting the sales process from initial inquiry to order closure, including customer communication and documentation
  • Supporting our product marketing team for medium voltage solutions according to local needs, ensuring that our marketing activities are prioritized according to market needs

Qualifications for the Role

  • A relevant degree, preferably on electrical engineering (BSc or MSc level) or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong technical orientation, with a proven background preferably in electrical engineering or a closely related field
  • Proactive, detail-oriented way of working with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A team player attitude with excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in programs such as MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
  • Experience in sales, offer preparation, or customer-facing roles are seen as an advantage
