Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will support our sales organization (division and market) as well as our customers throughout the quotation process. As a central technical contact in your area of responsibility, you play a crucial role in the successful completion of projects. Your tasks include the creation of detailed technical descriptions of products and technologies, the determination of cost estimates, and the compilation of the final quotation documentation.

This position is assigned to the Measurement & Analytics business area in Minden. Key contacts are the local sales units of ABB, the OEM Account Manager, and the OEM Business Development Manager. Additionally, you will work closely with the relevant interfaces in the manufacturing plant.

You are primarily responsible for:

  • Technical consulting and solution finding for inquiries from customers, sales partners, and sales representatives regarding ABB products, systems, and applications.
  • Developing and nurturing new sales opportunities as well as solving specific customer concerns to ensure the achievement of key performance indicators such as order intakes, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Ensuring the achievement of budget targets, including sales volume and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and markets.
  • Creating quotations and cost estimates based on technical designs, taking into account technical and economic aspects.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Proficient use of SAP, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce.
  • Technical education or a technical degree and initial professional experience are advantageous.
  • Great enthusiasm for working with people from different cultures as well as a pronounced intercultural understanding.
  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and team orientation.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
  • Strong commercial understanding and solid technical know-how; experience in the process industry is advantageous.
