In This Role, You'll Help Run What Runs The World

In this role, you'll support the ABB Strategic Account Sales Team in serving a large national commercial electrical contractor. You will coordinate closely with ABB distributor partners to ensure seamless service and support, while also engaging directly with the strategic account to understand their needs, resolve issues, and deliver exceptional customer service. The position involves organizing and managing bid activities, assembling detailed proposals for large commercial projects, and assisting with job negotiations and contract awards. You will support day-to-day account activities, including generating quotes, preparing submittals, and collaborating with ABB project managers to ensure successful project execution. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting stocking strategy and logistics to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and services. This role also includes supporting the Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) business, such as reviewing bills of material, managing pricing, and ensuring all necessary ABB support is provided to the customer.

The work model for the role is: remote with the preferred living location being the St. Petersburg/Tampa, FL area.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop competitive bids and quotations by selecting optimal product mixes and addressing technical and commercial requirements for each opportunity.

  • Manage and document tenders with accurate cost details, ensuring timely submissions and alignment with sales strategies to support growth and customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate project execution and logistics, including submittal generation, collaboration with Project Managers, and stocking strategies for efficient delivery.

  • Provide daily support to Sales and OEM teams, including pricing, technical assistance, order management, and tracking sales performance metrics.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Distribution or direct industry experience.

  • 5+ years of experience (Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products and experience working with contractors & channel partners preferred).

  • Strong technical application, take-off, and proposal development skills.

  • Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs and ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools.

  • Strong oral, written communication skills and presentation skills as well as strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $65,100 and $104,160 annually.
