Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. We are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to join our Electrification Distribution Solutions business in New Zealand. In this technically rewarding role, you'll lead front-end sales activities, partnering with End Users, Consultants, and EPCs to position ABB as the trusted partner for electrification projects in the Industrial and Utility sectors. Our Medium Voltage manufacturing facility in Henderson, Auckland is a global hub for innovation, producing locally designed switchgear that sets the standard for reliability and performance, exported successfully across New Zealand and worldwide.

- Work model: Hybrid

  • Implement proactive promotional activities, including technical presentations, seminars, and demonstrations.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and execute sales plans, monitor progress, and propose recovery actions when needed.
  • Ensure efficient marketing activities and communicate ABB's value proposition effectively.
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities.
  • Prepare offers in coordination with bid/proposal teams, ensuring compliance with technical and financial requirements.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in technical sales with Medium Voltage Switchgear and Digital Solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Industrial and Utility segments.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
