In this role, you will be responsible for driving service sales and customer engagement in the service division in Hong Kong, ensuring customer satisfaction, business growth, and alignment with decarbonization and digital transformation goals. Reporting to the Head of Service Sales, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the maritime industry at various levels, identify opportunities for business growth, and present tailored technical solutions, keeping a customer-centric approach in mind.
As a senior contributor, you work independently with the opportunity to grow personally towards a team lead position with a global leader in turbocharging.
Mission Statement
- Drive service sales business in collaboration with the Head of Service Sales and secure profitable sales growth in line with global growth strategy.
- Identify new potential, promote & sell the entire Service product portfolio in collaboration with the global network and headquarters.
- Build long-term customer relationships and ensure immediate response to specific customer needs and issues.
Main Accountabilities
Execution
- Drive & execute sales plans and sales support activities of the complete service product portfolio, including agreements, decarbonization and digital solutions.
- Deliver on sales targets, customer visit plan, customer communication and events plan. Attend trainings assigned.
- Establish & maintain effective customer relationships at all levels, explore new business opportunities & generate new installed base or market share by influencing key decision makers and raise awareness & understanding of relevant product offerings.
- Communicate and coordinate with all stakeholders (internal & external) to support customers based on their original needs and pains, and maintain high level of customer satisfaction by swift proactive problem resolution.
- Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.
- Communicate and coordinate with Operations, Business Development, Market Communication and Technical Advisor as required.
- Influence end users to specify Accelleron Turbochargers for their newbuilding projects to capture full market potential.
- Conduct customer seminars, trainings, and attend relevant exhibitions if required.
- Update & maintain customer database (ATURB).
Business Development
- Identify service potential in the assigned area, evaluate service opportunities to support development of sales planning and a corresponding sales activity plan.
- Support market intelligence and business development projects as required to drive the growth of the business.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
- 8+ years working in sales or technical support in the marine or mechanical sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive customer-first mindset.
- Ability and drive to build multi-level professional networks.
- Good negotiation and influencing skills, confident in presenting technical solutions and handling client needs.
- Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a plus.
- Experience dealing with ship management, shipowners, shipyards, or marine equipment is a plus.
