Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual customer acquisition and profit goals.
  • Ensure the quality of enrolled acres by closely monitoring compliance with internal sales guidelines and standards.
  • Design and implement sales strategies that maximize revenue while minimizing cost per acquisition.
  • Manage accurate sales forecasting processes to support Finance with reliable revenue projections.
  • Evaluate opportunity pipelines, analyze customer needs, and prioritize team resources to maximize results.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to align strategies and deliver strong sales outcomes.
  • Optimize resource allocation, travel plans, and promotional budgets to ensure lean operations.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing sales team through hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Encourage open communication, celebrate wins, and address challenges proactively.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the sales organization.
  • Demand ownership from every team member for their pipeline, forecasts, and results, ensuring no excuses and full accountability.
  • Drive a competitive spirit that motivates the team to achieve team sales targets.
  • Establish and track individual and team KPIs, ensuring accountability and results.

Data, Tools & Processes

  • Optimize sales processes, tools, and CRM systems for efficiency.
  • Leverage sales data and analytics to measure results and refine strategies.
  • Ensure full adoption of the CRM system by demonstrating its value across the sales team.
  • Support the development of sales and marketing budgets and ensure disciplined adherence.

Customer Engagement & Business Growth

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers at all organizational levels.
  • Influence decision-makers and guide the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Identify new business opportunities by understanding customers’ strategies, cultures, and decision-making processes.
  • Negotiate and close opportunities that align with customer and company objectives.

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration

  • Work effectively in a matrixed environment with teams such as Grower Success, Marketing, and Contracting to achieve business goals.
  • Represent Agoro Carbon at regional and national trade shows, conferences, and industry events.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor degree in Agronomy, Ag Business or Ag related field. A master’s degree may be an advantage.
  • 7 to 10 years sales leadership experience in agriculture or related industries, ideally with exposure to carbon offsetting and digital tools.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Entrepreneurial experiences in successfully launching or scaling new business.
  • Advanced business acumen with a result-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as social media tools, such as Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Extensive travelling requiring a valid driver’s license.
