The Director of Sales (DoS) will serve as the reporting manager for sales leadership, including the national sales managers and sales support managers. The Director of Sales will manage and measure the business development and account management activity executed through the business development managers (BDM) and account development managers (ADM) working in the US and Canada. Additionally, the DoS will support management, support and directing of AIG's key distributor sales partnerships (IWS and Abode). Along with team management, the primary focus for the position is customer acquisition, execution of field level growth strategy, account development, and retention. The Director of Sales leads and manages the sales team selection process, professional development, and support through best-practice execution of tools and resources that ensure smooth operations and improved sales outcomes. This role reports to the VP of HVAC. Overnight travel required up to 50%.
How you will create an impact
• Serve as a leader and coach to manage the sales team to help achieve individual and team revenue goals. Establish regular cadence for reporting sales team performance and activity.
• Work with the sales leadership team to develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet KPIs and expand the HVAC customer base.
• Analyze critical data from CRM platforms to create and assess sales performance tracking and activity to implement strategies for opportunities and improvements for new and existing clients.
• Analyze workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Work closely with the sales team to monitor current market and industry trends and anticipated hurdles to ensure that forecasts and programs are aligned to remain competitive in complex conditions.
• Performs other duties as required to support AIG's account growth objectives and strategic initiatives.

• 8+ Years Experience in sales/customer management
• Experience with performance analytics – Sales Force and Excel
• Experience presenting in group settings
• Commitment to being accountable for results.
• Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills for handling multiple and conflicting activities
• Some relevant experience within HVAC, trade industry is preferred
For positions based in New York City, the base salary range is $118,000 - $169,000. For positions based in Los Angeles, California, the base salary range is $130,000 - $170,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
