Accountabilities

• Lead a team of 6 Regional Account Managers (RAMs) and coordinate with the other SAM covering the other area in Spain.
• Meet and potentially exceed individual and team annual KPI targets.
• Monitor sales team budget ensuring strategic resources allocation.
• Oversee sales team activity ensuring strategic focus as per call plans.
• Ensure all customer interactions are uploaded onto the CRM system in a timely manner.
• Provide timely and accurate sales data to the Business Unit Lead (BUL) including forecasts, sales reports, SFE metrics reports, business intelligence reports.
• Partner with the BUL and the cross-functional Brand Team contributing to the development of strategic and tactical plans.
• Support and coordinate sales team local annual plans and ensure execution.
• Monitor business environment and adjust plans accordingly in alignment with the BUL.
• Support sales team interactions and maximize interaction with key physicians.
• Develop relationships with new customers to unlock potential growth opportunities.
• Maintain regular and content-rich contact with the field team arranging appropriate individual and team meetings in coordination with the other SAM.
• Coach and develop sales team.
• Be passionate about innovation in ways of achieving business targets in line with company's vision and values.
• Participate and provide local feedback to Global sales activities/projects.
• Ensure the sales team works according to Alexion Values, Business Ethics following Compliance and Quality requirements as per Alexion policies.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Degree in science.
• Preferably with a postgraduate degree in business.
• More than 10 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Preferably with experience in rare diseases.
• At least 4 years as sales manager.
• Leadership attitude.
• Team player and strong ability to collaborate with other functions.
• Analytical mindset.
• Results oriented.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High level of English.
