Position Responsibilities:
The Client Account Executive services existing and new accounts through personal and written contact. The incumbent acts as the liaison between customers, brokers, carriers, and internal departments, ensuring effective and complete communication between all parties. The Client Account Executive develops and maintains successful business relationships between the company and our customers and educates customers regarding company procedures and legislation that will affect their employee health benefit plans. Additionally, the Client Account Executive assists the President and CEO and marketing personnel by collecting and presenting information to new and existing customers.
The incumbent is expected to communicate professionally with peers, supervisors, subordinates, vendors, customers, and the public, and to be respectful and courteous in the conduct of this position.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Assists customers, brokers, carriers and company personnel in obtaining information necessary to facilitate service for each customer group.
2. Assists customers, brokers, carriers and company personnel with questions pertaining to group health benefit plans. Resolves problems as they arise.
3. Collaborates with internal departments as well as with carriers, brokers and group contacts to assist with the preparation of proposals and facilitate the placement of new and renewal business.
4. Creates reports, charts and graphs analyzing cost and claim experience for customer groups.
5. Distributes information pertaining to customer accounts internally as required.
6. Complies with state and federal laws, and company policies and procedures.
7. Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
8. Organizes and facilitates group meetings to ensure effective communication between company personnel, brokers, carriers and group contacts.
9. Assists in implementing plan design changes by negotiating adjusted rates with carriers.
10. Responds to special report requests from customers, carriers and brokers in a timely manner.
11. Implementation of self-insured clients.
12. Communication with internal staff and client.
13. Contributes to the daily workflow with regular and punctual attendance.
14. Oversees group mailings of information pertaining to plan changes or new laws.
15. Travels to customer sites as necessary.

Job Specifications:

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in business management/administration, human resources management or another discipline applicable to the health insurance industry and related service industries preferred.
Certification(s) Required: | Completion of the Health Insurance Associate program through the Health Insurance Association of America (may be completed on the job). |
Licensed in Life, Health, Credit Life and Disability in the state of MT (may become licensed on the job).
Minimum Experience: Group health insurance or HR experience is preferred.
Other qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Ability to prioritize problems and responsibilities.
Extensive PC skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Ability to learn applications of the claims processing software as is necessary for report generation.
Strong mathematical skills.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Ability to organize and recall large amounts of information including interactions with employees, agents, plan participants and customers.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret benefit summary plan descriptions, insurance documents and regulations.
Working knowledge of self-funding, excess loss coverage and insurance products such as Life, AD&D, STD and LTD.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to project a professional image and positive attitude in any work environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to be flexible, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to analyze and solve problems with professionalism and patience, and to exercise good judgment when making decisions.
Ability to operate typical office equipment.
Working knowledge of general office procedures.
