The Sales Consultant solicits and secures new clients for linen, workwear industrial uniforms and facility services, sells and promotes approved, targeted products and services within a designated sales territory. Reports to the Regional Sales Manager and works closely with the General Manager. Essential Functions include soliciting and securing new clients, selling and promoting all approved lines of service or product within a designated sales territory, meeting or exceeding sales quotas and expectations, proactively identifying, soliciting, and motivating targeted prospects using various methods, maintaining sales records and accurately filling out new client paperwork, actively participating in promotions, contests, meetings, and training, following company sales policies and procedures, presenting a professional image, and building relationships with customers. Additional Functions may include working with and supporting other sales personnel or functions as required by supervision.
Requirements Qualifications include excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French, ability to comprehend and follow direction, and strong time management skills. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office are required. A valid driver's license and a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding, safety or other violations are necessary. Recognize colors, sizes, and types of product, count, add, and subtract accurately. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment. College degree preferred or two years sales experience. Compensation includes $120,000 to $150,000 per year between base salary and commission pay, monthly car allowance provided for driving within your territory, and an excellent benefit package.
Typical Physical Activity includes standing, sitting, walking, stooping, driving, grasping, moving equipment, pushing, pulling, reading, speaking, hearing, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Typical Environmental Conditions include vehicles on public roads, inside general offices, customer locations, areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, Service Center or depot. Travel Requirements include daily driving by vehicle within a designated sales territory.
