Manager, Technical Pre-Sales

The Technical Pre-Sales Manager will focus on supporting our Airline customers in APAC. He/She will be responsible for pre-sales activities, leading customer initiatives, identifying upsell opportunities, and effectively communicating Amadeus solutions through structured engagements such as workshops, presentations, and demonstrations. Building strong relationships with key Airline stakeholders is also a crucial part of this role.

This role requires both functional expertise in requirement management with Airline subject matter experts and strategic business understanding to engage with upper Airline management.

In This Role You'll / Your Main Responsibilities

  • You will champion customer advocacy by providing guidance when new role or initial initiatives and assist in formalizing requests.
  • Research airline customer business cases, initiatives, opportunities, and threats.
  • Identify upsell opportunities related to the airline customer's strategy and industry trends.
  • Coordinate the design of solutions leveraging industry and solution expertise.
  • Conduct functional and technical scoping workshops to identify gaps and interfaces needing development.
  • Define solution outlines, including third-party partner solutions where appropriate.
  • Deliver product-related presentations and demonstrations.
  • Arrange discovery or deep dive workshops with customers.
  • Develop and present tailored solution-related presentations and proof of concepts.
  • Support both the customer and the Amadeus account manager in completing sales.
  • Prepare commercial proposals or contracts for signature.
  • Ensure sizing estimations for change proposals are completed and provided to customers.
  • Participate in top management Strategic Business Review and Steering Committee meetings.
  • Lead solutions updates during monthly account reviews and quarterly business meetings.
  • Cultivate professional relationships within the customer's organization to understand their business strategy, requirements, challenges, and decision-making processes.

About the Ideal Candidate

- A minimum of 10 years of working experience, with at least 7 years in roles such as Pre-Sales, IT Sales, Sales Engineer, Product Management, or Technical Consultant, preferably within the Airline or Travel Industry.

- General knowledge and understanding of airline operations, needs, and processes, particularly where IT solutions can provide value.

- Demonstrated proficiency in presentation, consultative sales, and relationship-building skills.

- Exposure to solutioning PSS & Altea experience Reservation, ticketing and inventory, and/or DCS.

- Understands the legacy systems well to position advantages of Nevio.

- Proficiency in English, additionally Japanese and Mandarin
