The Director of Sales provides professional level sales to hospital and ambulatory settings, leadership and strategic planning in the area of business development and marketing within the organization. Areas of focus will be within mid-sized to large hospitals, health systems, or ambulatory care clinics within your designated division and industry specific partnerships. The Director of Sales reports to the Vice President of Sales and works with Division Directors, Directors of Sales, Regional Vice Presidents, DBOs, finance, proposals, marketing and other key stakeholders on overall corporate growth strategy.

The Director of Sales collaborates with divisional, local, regional and national leadership teams on annual target and goal setting. The Director of Sales has specific responsibility for ensuring that the highest quality and competitive service offerings are presented to the organizations customers while partnering with delivery and operations to ensure high quality outcomes. The Director of Sales also provides industry specific trends and knowledge, in addition to providing ongoing guidance on business development platforms, processes, and roles and responsibilities for the continuous improvement of new business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Works with Senior Vice Presidents, Regional Vice Presidents and Market Leaders to serve as a thought leader and in the development of the company strategy and training approach by identifying areas of opportunity; determining priorities; and developing new business strategies

Develops direct sales pursuit plans and targets approved accounts behind that plan

Responsible for contract creation and manages the contractual process through full execution and client activation

Works closely with Senior Vice Presidents, Regional Vice Presidents and Market Leaders to support and contribute to the organization's priorities, mission, vision, and core values aimed at increasing growth within the organizations core competencies

Manages an active portfolio of BD targets, and executes on the growth of business through building customer management and fulfillment strategies

Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities

Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments

Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals

Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations

Works hand in hand with Market, Regional and National teams on supporting delivery efforts and saturating current customers

Travels often to visit current and future clients

Held accountable to multiple federal, state, program/contract, accrediting bodies and Amergis requirements

Performs other duties as necessary

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing/Communications/Provider Relations preferred

A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in new business development and industry management preferred

Must meet all local, state and federal requirements

Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with training/facilitation skills preferred; proficiency in the English language is required

Excellent inter-personal skills. Ability to manage stress and maintain a calm presence under pressure and with tight deadlines. A good sense of humor and a positive outlook

Proven experience working with a mature business development process and scaling it to work at many levels within an organization and with a variety of key stakeholders

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex teams, precise scheduling and multiple and shifting priorities
