Private Event Sales Coordinator

The Private Event Sales Coordinator is responsible for promoting, planning, organizing and executing Private Events. Under the direction of the Event Sales Manager, the Event Coordinator works closely with members and guests to identify requirements and expectations for each event.

Responsibilities include:

  • Growing sales acumen to regularly meet annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals
  • Managing assigned market segments and soliciting new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships
  • Selling and marketing to external markets which may encompass corporate events/meetings/trainings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and personal milestone events; other may include holiday parties, celebrations of life, school athletic banquets, and fundraisers
  • Acting as an ambassador for the property, fostering relationships with individuals & corporations who book events to maintain repeatable and predictable business while prospecting for new events
  • Administrative duties including generating, revising and distributing event contracts and work orders, collecting deposits or payment from tournament host; marketing efforts including contact database maintenance, responding to leads, scheduling course tours, etc.; logistical requirements including communication with appropriate departments to ensure course and facility readiness
  • Maintaining customer service standards during event by observing performance and providing assistance as necessary
  • Ensuring host satisfaction by establishing a close working relationship prior to and during the event; addressing host questions or concerns
  • May be required to work overtime as needed
  • Implementing and supporting all AGC initiatives and programs as requested by management
  • Other duties may be assigned by management

Qualifications include:

  • Administrative and/or Sales experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service orientation and a focus on customer satisfaction is required
  • Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Basic math skills to calculate figures, percentages, etc. required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, co-workers and management required
  • Solid time management, organization and prioritization skills, ability to work with little or no direct supervision
  • Valid driver's license required

Education:

  • High school diploma required (2-year college degree preferred)

Working Conditions:

  • Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull. The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
