Event Sales Manager & Coordinator

Location: Manteca, CA

Pay Range $79,000–$83,000 annually, plus commission and full benefits

As the Event Sales Manager, you'll be the driving force behind unforgettable experiences — from elegant celebrations and corporate gatherings to community events and private functions. You'll combine your flair for relationship building with your expertise in event planning and sales strategy to grow revenue, elevate guest satisfaction, and execute flawless events from concept to completion. This is an opportunity to lead with vision, collaborate with talented culinary and operations teams, and turn every client interaction into a lasting impression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all incoming event inquiries, including calls, emails, and walk-ins, and maintain organized lead tracking.
  • Conduct venue tours and consultations to assess client needs and present event options.
  • Provide accurate proposals, quotes, and menu recommendations in collaboration with Food & Beverage and Culinary leadership.
  • Prepare and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) or related documentation to ensure clear communication across departments.
  • Coordinate with vendors, rental companies, and service partners to fulfill event requirements.
  • Research competitive market pricing for rental packages, food & beverage offerings, and amenities; make recommendations for pricing adjustments.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of external and internal events, ensuring quality and efficiency from start to finish.
  • Partner with the culinary team to design event menus tailored to guest preferences and budget.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, organizations, and community partners.
  • Support marketing initiatives to promote event services and increase brand visibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure seamless event execution.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education in hospitality, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in event sales, catering, or food & beverage operations.
  • Strong computer and administrative skills; experience with event management or CRM software preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional demeanor and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
