Sales Representative For Corrosion Test Chamber Product Line

A local company is seeking a representative who will be the primary salesperson for the company's corrosion test chamber product line. You will work the entire sales pipeline from initial customer contact all the way through to post-sales following up. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sales volume and sales growth of the company's corrosion test chamber product line by maintaining existing customer base, increasing new customer base, and coordinating with outside sales representatives and distributors
  • Communicate the technical details of the product line, stay abreast of ASTM and industry standards, recommend equipment to meet customer needs, and explain customer facility requirements for the equipment
  • Answer incoming calls and emails from customers and respond to product and service questions including but not limited to quote requests, order placement, status of current orders, item return inquiries, product compliance inquires, possible invoicing issues, shipment issues, and industry test standards
  • Prepare and present quotations, including size and equipment options, pricing, lead-time, shipping terms and special requirements
  • Maintain customer accounts by obtaining and recording account information in ERP/CRM systems, respond to supplier surveys, secure and enter sales orders, obtain signed approval drawings for custom specifications, and provide technical support and data to customers relating to use and operation of the equipment
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, the production floor, and the customer providing on-going communication and excellent customer service and work with Sales Manager to develop website and social media content, sales materials, and to promote products
  • Identify areas where we can improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, then communicate those issues and possible solutions to upper management
  • Prepare and present sales and production reports, keep management informed of competition and market conditions, provide input into campaigns, marketing, product and sales processes to achieve sales goals
  • Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings and make local sales visits to customer facilities, as necessary
