Inside Sales Rep
The Direct Inside Sales (DIS) Representative is responsible for supporting the Direct Retail sales team. In this role, the DIS will have the opportunity to develop strategic selling skills by building diverse, collaborative relationships with customers and sales account executives (SAE). Additionally, the DIS will be responsible for leading marketing and product initiatives, qualifying sales leads, supporting customers on tactical product, process and systems questions, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The DIS will also assist the team with promotions and events to include new product launches.
Essential Functions of the Job: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Respond promptly to in-bound sales opportunities via phone, email, and web.
- Generate and qualify new leads through proactive outreach and follow-up.
- Support outside sales reps by preparing quotes, processing orders, and tracking projects.
- Maintain strong product knowledge of flooring materials, installation methods, and specifications.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, architects, designers, and facility managers.
- Utilize CRM software to manage customer data, sales pipeline, and activity tracking.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Estimating, Logistics, Operations) to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and explore upsell opportunities.
- Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs
Requirements:
- 2+ years of inside sales or customer service experience; commercial flooring or construction industry preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial flooring products (carpet, vinyl, tile, hardwood, etc.).
- Understanding of construction project timelines and sales cycles.
- Experience working with contractors, designers, or commercial clients.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently Expected to stand for long periods of time and expected to lift up to 20 pounds
- Frequent Vision must be sufficient to see tools and equipment clearly. Plant conditions that include all extreme weather conditions (hot and cold), and a noisy and dusty environment.

Travel:
- Some traveling is required by car and air traveling for training and other events. Some travel into our Corporate Headquarters in Mountville may also be required.
