Fire Alarm Sales Specialist

We are seeking an experienced sales professional or fire alarm technician to generate and close new sales opportunities for Notifier fire alarm systems. This role requires at least five years of fire alarm experience, ideally within sales. Candidates with strong technical experience who may not have a formal sales background but demonstrate the personality, motivation, and interest to succeed in a sales role are also encouraged to apply. A NICET 2 certification is advantageous and can be obtained after joining.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and close new sales opportunities for Notifier fire alarm systems.
  • Proactively build and maintain relationships with general contractors, electrical contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Network within the construction and fire protection industry to identify new markets and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals and estimates meet customer needs.
  • Manage time effectively to balance prospecting, client meetings, and project follow-ups.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Notifier systems.

Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years experience in the fire alarm industry.
  • Sales experience in fire alarm, low voltage, or construction-related industries preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • NICET 2 certification is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Notifier systems is a plus.

Work Environment:

The role is fully onsite with typical working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering some flexibility in hours. You will be part of a small, close-knit team that operates without micromanagement. While there is a sales quota to hit for the supplier, the team is not heavily metrics-driven. Minimal travel is required, only occasionally visiting facilities to assess jobs. The company, despite having multiple branches up and down the East Coast and a corporate office in Hanover, Maryland, maintains a family-oriented atmosphere, especially in Richmond.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
