Inside Sales Representative
The Inside Sales Representative will support the Business Development Manager in driving and managing the growth of a full Turnkey contract manufacturing business. This position involves lead generation, creating quotations, coordinating projects, and maintaining effective communication with customers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Business Development Manager in managing the workload associated with active lead generation support and related planning.
- Collaborate closely with the Quotations & Procurement Department to formulate quotations and proposals.
- Oversee and coordinate projects from award to delivery to customers.
- Coordinate communication between customer task leads/contacts/program managers, the Business Development Team, and other departments.
- Serve as the immediate and always available contact for customers regarding their projects.
- Possess thorough knowledge of turnkey manufacturing processes, including multi-level assembly, lead times, and purchasing, to accurately quote new customer projects from start to finish.
- Generate initial quotations for customers and act as the liaison between sales and procurement to ensure timely product delivery and address any post-delivery issues.
- Make warm outbound calls as needed, focusing initially on quotation generation and project tracking/delivery.
- Generate complex, technical sales proposals and coordinate bids.
- Own the RFQ/RFI process.
Essential Skills:
- Experience in turnkey electronics manufacturing.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development coordination, sales, or marketing, or a similar role such as estimator, project coordinator, or quotation specialist with direct customer contact.
- General understanding of manufacturing processes, including procurement, lead times, and multi-level assembly processes.
- Experience with RFQs.
- ERP knowledge (any system, as an implementation)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Project management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in sales support and project coordination.
- Familiarity with technical sales proposals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Work Environment:
This role is based 100% onsite at a small facility in Orange County, California. The company is a Quick Turn Full Turnkey electronic manufacturing service provider, primarily serving the aerospace and defense industries, with a strong reputation for high-quality work and exceptional customer service. The facility is ITAR compliant.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $48.00/hr.
