Logistics Account Specialist

The Enterprise Special Services team is rapidly growing and seeking a highly skilled and motivated Account Specialist to enhance the shipper experience for vendors and sellers using inbound transportation services. In this role, you work directly with shippers to understand their needs, identify performance issues, and implement solutions that improve shipper performance metrics. You monitor and analyze transportation data, address disruptions in real time, and drive continuous improvement through coaching and performance management. This position offers strong exposure to transportation and logistics operations and provides a valuable opportunity to build a long-term career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, verify, and present transportation and shipper performance data on a daily basis.
  • Overcome transportation disruptions and other operational barriers in real time to maintain service levels.
  • Identify root causes of transportation defects and develop actionable plans to address them.
  • Maintain detailed daily logs on assigned shippers, including performance metrics, issues, and actions taken.
  • Lead weekly calls with assigned shippers to review performance, discuss improvement opportunities, and provide coaching.
  • Lead Daily Business Review stand-up calls to share updates, highlight risks, and align on priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate shipper defects across the network and drive improvements through performance management.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with shippers and internal stakeholders to build strong relationships and ensure alignment on goals.
  • Prepare written documents, such as process improvement proposals and performance summaries, to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Organize and manage multiple shipper accounts simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Essential Skills

  • 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related environment preferred.
  • Understanding of basic data analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and act on performance metrics.
  • Entry-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with spreadsheets and the ability to navigate and interpret data.
  • Experience writing documents on topics such as process improvement proposals or operational recommendations.
  • Strong account management and customer service skills, with a focus on supporting and coaching shippers.
  • Proven problem-solving ability in transportation, intermodal, or supply chain contexts.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage disruptions as they occur and make sound decisions under time pressure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain or logistics is beneficial, but candidates from other fast-paced, customer-facing industries such as event coordination, real estate, sales, or restaurants are also well suited.
  • Demonstrated ability to hit the ground running in a dynamic environment with limited supervision.
  • Experience working with transportation networks, intermodal operations, or inbound transportation is an advantage.
  • Comfort presenting data and leading recurring calls or meetings with external partners.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Interest in developing deeper technical skills in transportation, logistics, and data analysis, with openness to ongoing training and support.

Work Environment

The team operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment focused on transportation and logistics performance. You work extensively with data and Microsoft Excel, participate in daily and weekly calls, and collaborate closely with both internal stakeholders and external shippers. The role emphasizes continuous learning, with strong support and training for technical skills while expecting high levels of ownership, organization, and interpersonal effectiveness. The team structure and collaboration model support a fully remote work environment.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
