Field Sales Representative (Anchorage, AK Territory)
Weekly Base Pay + Uncapped Commission!
This field-based role supports a brand-new delivery program by recruiting local small businesses to join a hub delivery partner network in the Anchorage area. You will visit prospective businesses, present the program opportunity, qualify applicants, and guide them through the full application process while maintaining accurate records in Salesforce. Working closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors, you will also help plan and execute community-based recruitment events and build strong partnerships with local organizations. The position involves regular travel within a two-hour driving distance and offers uncapped commission based on the number of partners successfully converted.
Responsibilities
- Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a one-hour driving distance to generate interest in the delivery partner program.
- Present and pitch the new delivery program opportunity to prospective businesses in a clear, compelling, and professional manner.
- Qualify prospective businesses based on program criteria and guide them through the end-to-end application process.
- Lead outreach activities and manage a robust pipeline of prospects using Salesforce, ensuring all stages of the sales process are accurately tracked.
- Import Excel spreadsheets and update Salesforce with weekly activity, maintaining accurate and timely records of all interactions and progress.
- Collaborate closely with the Field Manager and other local contractors to plan and host recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
- Partner with the Field Manager to build relationships with local influencers, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals and expand program reach.
- Drive referrals through community organizations and small business networks to identify high-potential delivery partners.
- Provide exceptional customer service to prospective partners by answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping resolve issues during the application process.
- Follow up consistently with prospects from home or a remote setting to complete applications, provide updates, and move them toward launch readiness.
- Uphold a high level of professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail in all field and administrative activities.
- Contribute to raising the bar for the delivery experience by recruiting high-quality partners in complex last-mile delivery environments.
Essential Skills
- At least 2+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
- Proven outside or field sales experience, with comfort working independently in a field-based role.
- CRM experience required, with a strong preference for Salesforce.
- Strong sales, outbound sales, and business development skills, including the ability to pitch and persuade.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated professionalism and enthusiasm for working with others in a collaborative environment.
- High sense of urgency and the ability to manage multiple prospects and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problems for applicants in the field.
- Tech-savvy, with experience working with multiple systems, technology platforms, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to travel up to approximately two hours round-trip daily to visit targeted towns and prospective businesses.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in a role that involved sales and/or negotiation with customers is a plus.
- Previous field sales experience beyond the minimum requirement is a plus.
- Experience building relationships with community organizations, chambers of commerce, or economic development groups is beneficial.
- Comfort hosting or supporting community events such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
- Experience working in last-mile delivery, logistics, or small business environments is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently in a commission-driven role.
Work Environment
This role primarily supports the Anchorage market and is highly field-based, with approximately 80% of time spent in the field and 20% working from home on follow-up and administrative tasks. You will travel regularly within a radius of up to about one hour driving distance (up to two hours round trip) to visit prospective businesses and attend community events. The work involves frequent in-person visits to small businesses, door-to-door outreach, and participation in local events such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings. You will use Salesforce as the primary CRM system, along with Excel and other technology tools, so comfort with digital systems is important. The role offers uncapped commission opportunities tied to performance, including payments per partner application, milestones such as partners being ready to launch and remaining active, as well as mileage reimbursement and a monthly phone expense allowance. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
