Sales Operations Manager

The Job

To ensure a consistent global framework and support effective local execution by:

  1. Validating operational readiness to boost seller productivity
  2. Executing strategic programs to enhance operational rhythm of business
  3. Developing sales policies and engagement rules

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with the Sales Operations leadership teams to effectively align & embed the rhythm of the business, ensuring globally aligned, regionally executed cadence of review and planning activities throughout the fiscal year
  • Developing globally standardized sales forecasting, opportunity management and planning & budgeting processes, establishing the highest levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency
  • Working with the Sales Operations leadership team to develop globally consistent reporting processes and business review templates
  • Partnering with the Business Operations leadership team to validate operational readiness for changes that affect front line sellers and/or partners
  • Executing strategic programs and embedding outcomes/benefits of those programs into new or existing rhythm of business
  • Developing and governing key sales policies and process, in close collaboration with the Commercial Leadership team
  • Providing actionable insights and recommendations through advanced analytics tied to key initiatives or reporting at a global level
  • Working with the Sales Intelligence team to define requirements for dashboards, and ensuring dashboards stay relevant and effective to cadence
  • Identifying and prioritizing opportunities for sales process improvement, and collaborating with the rest of GBO team to implement a well-defined, efficient sales process
  • Fostering a culture of continuous process improvement

Essential Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of experience managing sales operations or operations programs. Experience in driving structured processes and leveraging analytics from large datasets to drive growth programs. Ability to think strategically and synthesize insights and business implications from data in a meaningful way. Deep knowledge of account/opportunity management principles and practices as applied in a Technology/SaaS, B2B environments. Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment while paying excellent attention to detail. A proven ability to develop tactical initiatives that improve sales productivity and performance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage multiple stakeholders, and to turn business requirements into consumable material. Focus on self-learning and improvement to strive to be better and serve others better in the pursuit of business growth and personal development. Extensive experience with Salesforce. Self-starter.

Hybrid working: By default, employees are expected to be in their local AVEVA office three days a week, but some positions are fully office-based. Roles supporting particular customers or markets are sometimes remote.
