Sales Support/Samples Specialist

Location: Open

Department: Sales

Reports to: Sales Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive self-starter to join our sales team. This role will play a crucial part in supporting our sales Account Managers and supporting Gillco customers. Non-revenue generating/administrative tasks and offering support to all salespersons while they are traveling. Two-prong role as Sales Support responsibilities and samples tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to understand their needs and provide tailored support to enhance their effectiveness.
  • Order Coordination: Check in with Accounting on orders that are on Credit Hold or Prepay Hold, facilitating communication and resolution to ensure smooth order processing. Picking up the phone and calling the customer as times.
  • Travel Support: Assist the entire sales team during travel. Tasks include preparing sample requests, email support, getting request to Docs, seeing specific requests through internally, etc. Help manage "on the fly" requests that need immediate attention.
  • Customer Communication: Serve as a point of contact for customers, providing information and support before, during, and after sales meetings.
  • Task Management: Oversee assigned tasks from initiation to completion, ensuring timely follow-through and resolution.
  • Liaison with Customer Service: Act as a liaison between the sales team and Customer Service, providing a personal voice to enhance customer interactions when necessary.
  • Event Support: Assist in planning and coordinating customer events or trade shows as needed.
  • Samples Tasks: Packaging and shipping samples to customers.
  • Other assigned tasks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales support, administrative, or customer service roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
