Analyst GTB Sales

Purpose of the role: To generate revenue and promote the bank's diverse Trade & Working Capital product and service offerings to various customer segments.

Accountabilities:

  • Identification of potential customers, analysing their needs and preferences, and staying abreast of emerging market trends and competitor strategies.
  • Creation of detailed profiles for target customer segments, outlining their requirements, needs, and pain points to tailor sales approaches and product recommendations.
  • Relationship management of potential and existing customer relations through the execution of high-quality customer support, by responding to queries and resolving issues, gaining their customer trust, and understanding their financial goals and challenges.
  • Understanding of the features, benefits, risks, and compliance requirements of various Trade & Working Capital products and services offered. Understanding of the key features, benefits, risks, enhancements, and regulatory requirements of new and existing banking products, and communicate insights clearly to potential customers to address their financial needs.
  • Development of compelling sales pitches and proposals that showcase the value proposition of the bank's offerings to convert leads into customers, and negotiation of terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank.
  • Collection and analysis of customer feedback on various products, services, and overall experience, to support the development of reports that communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders, to inform product development and sales strategies.
  • Monitoring of lead conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and other relevant metrics to assess sales performance and identify areas for improvement.

Join us as an Analyst GTB Sales, where you will support senior sales colleagues in managing and growing a portfolio of corporate and financial institution clients while delivering trade, working capital, and cash management solutions.

Where you will:

  • Support sales origination efforts across cash management, liquidity, payments, trade finance, and working capital solutions
  • Participate in client discussions and assist in structuring solutions including documentary trade, receivables finance, payables finance, and open account solutions
  • Contribute to pitch materials, RFP responses, and client proposals to drive mandate conversion
  • Work closely with Product, Risk, Legal, and Operations teams to structure and execute transactions within the bank's risk appetite
  • Support end-to-end deal execution including credit approvals, documentation, and implementation handover
  • Maintain pipeline reporting, deal tracking, revenue forecasting, and ensure CRM hygiene
  • Develop understanding of client treasury requirements, supply chain dynamics, and working capital cycles
  • Track market developments, regulatory updates, and perform competition benchmarking
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and progressively engage with clients

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and execution capabilities
  • Have a good understanding of transaction banking products and client requirements
  • Be comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and managing timelines effectively
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and risk awareness

Essential Skills / Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in Transaction Banking (Trade & Working Capital, Liquidity, Payments, or Cash Management) or a related role
  • Understanding of trade finance products and working capital solutions
  • Basic capability in credit risk assessment and transaction analysis
  • Familiarity with corporate treasury concepts, trade documentation, and cross-border transactions
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of India regulatory requirements

Desirable Skills / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to APAC trade corridors
  • Experience in competition benchmarking (deposit rates, lending rates, product offerings)
  • Ability to build early-stage client relationships
