Position Summary:
This hybrid role combines inside and outside parts sales responsibilities. You'll assist walk-in and phone customers at the counter, handle inventory and warranties, and proactively build relationships with new and existing accounts in the field. The goal is to generate profitable parts sales while providing superior customer service and contributing to a team environment.
Location: Bergey's Truck Center – Ephrata, PA
Shift: Full-Time
Pay: $60,000-$70,000 annually plus commission depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist walk-in and telephone customers with required parts in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Generate sales of truck parts, tools, fasteners, and industrial supplies to assigned accounts and prospects.
- Build long-term customer relationships through excellent service and regular outreach.
- Pull purchases from stock, load customer orders, and stock display shelves.
- Accurately check in product and process cores and warranties.
- Tag and notify management of returns and/or cores.
- Support loading of delivery trucks as needed.
- Communicate special programs, present marketing promotions, and introduce new products/product lines.
- Stay up to date on new products through corporate/manufacturer training programs.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, trainings, and trade shows.
- Maintain a clean and organized counter area and equipment.
- Follow all company policies and procedures and perform housekeeping duties such as straightening stock items on shelves.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in truck/aftermarket/auto parts industry preferred.
- Customer-service skills with ability to learn new product lines quickly.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and online product directories.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
- Mack/Volvo/Cummins parts experience a plus.
