BorgWarner Aftermarket Europe GmbH has a new opportunity for a dynamic, results driven Sales Manager Aftermarket - West Europe (M/F/D). The Sales Manager Aftermarket - West Europe (M/F/D) is responsible for promoting and achieving maximum profitable sales volumes within the West European region. While developing annual plans within the business unit, the Sales Manager West Europe (M/F/D) owns the customer strategy and is accountable for the growth, profitability and customer satisfaction of their assigned region. He/she will be leading a team of Area Country Sales Managers.
Key Account Management & Business Development
Provide continuous support to existing key accounts while actively acquiring new clients within assigned regions.
Market Intelligence & Industry Monitoring
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry dynamics, including customer behavior and competitor activities, to sustain current business levels and identify future growth opportunities.
Customer & Competitor Analysis
Conduct ongoing market observations and in-depth analysis of customer needs and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
Commercial Strategy Execution
Develop and implement regional commercial strategies in alignment with the Director of Aftermarket to drive business performance.
Sales Operations & Contract Management
Manage customer inquiries, prepare offers, and lead contract negotiations through to successful conclusion.
Pricing & Profitability Management
Enforce pricing policies and contribute to budget planning, margin optimization, and sales growth initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise and support the Sales Managers and Sales Representatives, fostering a high-performance culture.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with peers, product management, and other internal departments to ensure seamless execution of commercial and operational goals.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Sales within an international environment, with substantial customer interaction. Experience in the Automotive Aftermarket is required.
Customer Relationship Management: Proven ability to build, maintain, and strengthen positive relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
Technical Acumen: A solid technical understanding is advantageous and will support effective communication with customers and internal teams.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, while consistently meeting deadlines.
Collaboration & Influence: Strong team orientation, excellent negotiation skills, and a strategic mindset to drive business growth.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic, matrixed organization with cross-functional teams.
Language Skills: Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Further language knowledge (German, French) is desirable.
