Medical Sales Representative

We're BreatheSuite, a digital health company founded in 2018 that helps people with chronic respiratory conditions breathe easier and live healthier lives. Our fully virtual pulmonary rehabilitation (vPR) program helps improve access to care for individuals with COPD. About This Position

As a Medical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for effectively educating and engaging healthcare professionals in dialogue about our program benefits to secure referral sources for BreatheSuite's vPR program throughout the Texas region. You will be expected to visit physician offices, hospitals and health systems to meet with pulmonologists, medical assistants, etc and be the point-of-contact between BreatheSuite and the clinics. You will be responsible for ensuring the clinics have all the necessary resources and information to begin referring patients to our program. While this position is remote, candidates must be located in Texas and be comfortable driving to urban and rural clinics and hospitals across the state on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. You will function independently with a high degree of proficiency in relationship building to drive program enrollment and awareness.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Building program awareness & referral sources by:

  • Organizing and attending lunch services to educate and engage physician offices, health systems, and managed care organizations on BreatheSuite's vPR program, and secure referral agreements
  • Calling on various local healthcare providers and informing those healthcare providers about the features and benefits of BreatheSuite's vPR Program, with the goal of obtaining an agreement of referrals
  • Acting as the liaison between the company and healthcare professionals to increase the visibility and awareness of the BreatheSuite brand by driving and maximizing external referral growth
  • Maintaining positive relationships with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants to support program enrollments

Supporting top of funnel sales activities, such as:

  • Generating new referral opportunities by networking, cold calls, and following up with web, phone and trade show generated leads
  • Evaluating areas and opportunities within the region for future referral sources
  • Building positive trust relationships to influence targeted groups in the decision-making process
  • Using BreatheSuite's CRM to track performance and ensure communication and success
  • Providing routine communication on referral funnel status with business development team

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate internally and externally with customers
  • A strong track record in healthcare sales and business development with experience in all stages of the sales funnel from lead generation, to closing
  • Experience in calling on health systems, and large group practices preferred
  • Knowledge of the US healthcare system preferred
  • Experience with medical device, pharmaceutical, or other sales in the respiratory space is a plus
  • Excellent computer proficiency including using Google Workspace Suite. Experience using Slack and Hubspot is a plus.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree
  • Reliable transportation along with a valid driver's license and good driving record

Work Environment

  • Ability to travel as necessary, as the individual will be customarily and regularly engaged away from the workplace
  • Operates in a remote home office environment, with routine use of office equipment such as computers, phones, and fax machines
  • Physical environment is generally safe and there is minimal health or safety risk. No safety equipment or unusual precautions are required.
