The Catering Sales Coordinator is responsible for the successful sales and booking of large parties, banquets, events, and groups at Horseshoe Indianapolis Racing & Casino. Position oversees all aspects of event coordination including contract and event management, maintaining relationships with rental & decor vendors, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
High School Diploma (GED) required, College Degree preferred, with 1 (one) year experience in the Food Service or Hospitality Industry in Group Sales or similar position. Position requires the ability to successfully set up and run events with basic knowledge of catering procedures, wine, spirit and food pairing, Ability to read, write, speak and understand English, math, basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, time management, and organization. Ability to understand Profit & Loss Statements, the ability to measure, estimate, and multi task, and be detail oriented. Must possess excellent customer service skills. Position requires employee to be at least 21 years of age, and be certified in Serve Safe Food Sanitation, Serve Safe Alcohol Awareness, and Indiana State approve Alcohol Training. Hold an Indiana ATC (Alcohol & Tobacco Commission) License, as well as the ability to successfully attain an IGC (Indiana Gaming Commission) Occupational License. Position requires scheduling flexibility, may be required to work weekends, holidays, overnight, or overtime, based upon scheduling and business needs.
