Senior Consultant, Business Development

Role requires a unique blend of skills to analyze markets, competitors and customer behavior to provide actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making and go to market/sales strategies. You will be a critical link between market insight and sales execution, enabling sales teams to excel in every customer interaction, from initial contact to close, by aligning tools, processes, and reporting across business segments and functions. Key responsibilities include assimilating and analyzing data to create insightful reports and presentations that inform go-to-market strategies, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure that market and competitive insights are integrated into our sales approach, and equipping sales teams with the resources and tools needed to improve their sales effectiveness. Key Responsibilities – Market Intelligence

  • Gather and analyze data on customer behavior, sentiment and needs to understand market dynamics and inform customer targeting strategies
  • Analyze industry trends and emerging opportunities in target markets
  • Understand competitor strategies and market positioning to identify threats and opportunities
  • Synthesize data from various sources into actionable business insights to support sales opportunity identification
  • Provide strategic advice and develop recommendations for competitive positioning and sales growth strategies. Lead workshops to identify key account growth opportunities.
  • Create market intelligence reports, executive summaries, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and relevant teams
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, such as sales and account teams, to ensure market insights are leveraged effectively

Key Responsibilities – Sales Enablement

  • Understand overarching business objectives and how sales enablement can help achieve them. Drive enablement activities, ensure funnel sufficiency and sales growth goals.
  • Oversee account plan process, outlining key customer engagement to foster long-term, value-driven relationships.
  • Create sales enablement plans, track impact of enablement initiatives.
  • Manage and execute processes to complete KPI reporting and management reviews.
  • Collect input from sales teams and other stakeholders to understand and address their needs and challenges.
  • Oversee the implementation of sales tech stack and other relevant technologies.
  • Monitor relevant KPIs to measure the effectiveness of enablement efforts.
  • Deliver onboarding programs for new sales hires.
  • Identify areas for sales process improvement and efficiency gains.

Analytical & Critical Thinking, Strategic Thinking, Research Skills, Communication Skills, Project Management, Data & Technology Tools, Dynamics CRM, Sales Navigator, Challenger, Google Workspace, AI tools/agents, Understanding of Channel Sales/Marketing, Sales training design/execution.

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. Overnight travel may be required.

5–10+ years' experience in market intelligence, sales enablement, market research or related roles in high-growth environments. Demonstrated success improving sales onboarding and ramp. Able to work independently and deliver quickly. Strong writing skills. Comfort aligning cross-functional teams and managing projects with multiple stakeholders. Strategic thinker with a doer mentality—able to work fast, smart, and collaboratively.

Bachelor's degree in related field (Marketing or Business preferred), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred. Educational Requirements may vary by geography.

Salary Range: $119 - 165K Annually.

Location: This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
