Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present custom client performance reviews and formal presentations to the client
- Facilitate the Rate Development Process which supports client premium rate setting
- Provide guidance and analysis of proposed Federal and State legislation that may impact the State's pharmacy benefit
- Manage client contract renewals and upselling programs
- Represent client internally and coordinate with other functions to implement programs and benefits, complete projects and address ongoing service
- Accountable for understanding the primary business objectives of the client, developing and managing shared goals, and demonstrating program value to the client
- Understand OptumRx product and service offering, and can articulate the operational, clinical and financial value of our programs to the client across multiple stakeholders
- Maintain consistent and regular client communications
- Maintain a complete understanding of client contract terms including the reporting of performance guarantees
- Lead and mentor account management team members
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
- Stays abreast of industry trends and developments and demonstrate solid communication skills in presenting these to Client. Demonstrates expertise in pharmacy benefit strategies and OptumRx clinical programs
- Provides regular feedback to management team regarding client metrics, client requirements and business development opportunities
- Regularly attends and actively participates in company meetings as requested
- Exhibit compliant and ethical behavior in the performance of job responsibilities, including complying with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, OptumRx Code of Conduct, Business Ethics Policies and Procedures and other policies and procedures applicable to position
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet corporate objectives
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of PBM client relationship management or PBM account management experience
- Client-facing presentation experience
- Experience solving practical issues and dealing with many variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Experience flexing communication style to a variety of audiences, presenting information in weekly ops meetings, QBR's, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare Part D Employer Group Waiver Plan requirements
- Proven ability to handle and resolve complex client issues
- Proven solid business and financial acumen with experience interpreting financial data
- Currently reside in Eastern Time Zone
- Able to travel up to 15% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing national and/or strategic accounts
- Experience reading, interpreting and negotiating contract terms
- Experience navigating through system enhancements or installations
- Experience working with RxClaim
- Experience working cross-functionally within a matrix environment
- Proven ability to exhibit leadership through influencing without authority
- Proven ability to work in a self-motivated environment with limited supervision
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
