Scholastic Book Fairs Sales Coordinator

Scholastic Book Fairs are in-person experiences that empower kids to discover books for themselves. Fairs bring entire communities together and raise over 200 million dollars in funds and resources for schools. We are committed to ensuring every kid, parent, caregiver, teen/tween, book fair organizer, and employee feels seen, respected, and welcome as part of the Scholastic Book Fairs family. We are currently in search of Sales Coordinators to help support the administrative and clerical needs of our sales team. Core Responsibilities include providing administrative assistance, managing data and reports, coordinating communication between departments, and assisting with territory activities. This role also involves organizing marketing inventory, handling office needs, and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will reside in the Pacific Coast Time Zone.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain meticulous records of sales data and customer interactions.
  • Generate reports and assist in tracking territory activities.
  • Offer comprehensive administrative support to the Sales Team.
  • Manage marketing materials to ensure effective promotional activities.
  • Act as a liaison between the Sales Team and other departments.
  • Attend and document all territory meetings.
  • Interact with customers to address inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to motivating and building a positive working environment.
  • Stay abreast of current sales processes and expectations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Sales Acumen: Understanding of sales techniques, negotiation skills, and closing strategies.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time Management and Organization: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Additional Skills: Proficiency with MS Office software, SalesForce/CRM technology, and telecommuting software.

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience in sales or administrative roles.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
