Business Development Representative

This position reports to the Business Development Manager and involves identifying and developing business opportunities for the company. The role includes seeking new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with specifiers such as architects, quantity surveyors, engineers, etc.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities include qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities, contacting potential specifiers through visits, calls, and emails, presenting the company to potential clients, identifying client needs and suggesting appropriate products/services, building long-term trusting relationships with specifiers, setting up meetings or calls between prospective clients and account executives, reporting to the Business Development Manager on sales results, and staying up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans.

Requirements include a BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field, proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales account executive, or similar role with the construction or building materials industry, hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques, a track record of achieving sales quotas, familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts), understanding of sales performance metrics, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to deliver engaging presentations.
