Job Description

Under direction of the Inside Sales Team Leader, Australia & New Zealand, the inside sales associate role is responsible for generating, growing and maximizing World Courier's business opportunities and sales to drive the overall sales revenue and profitability of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new and sustainable business within designated portfolio areas to ensure the achievement of individual key performance indicators and overall success of the organization.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for partnership growth to increase the profitability and return on investment in each relationship.
  • Represent World Courier in a professional manner that builds upon the already robust reputation of the organization.
  • Actively engaging with new and existing business opportunities, delivering solutions.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience meeting key performance indicators.
  • Strong experience in a sales role.
  • Significant experience in the freight forwarding or science/laboratory industry.
  • High level of computer literacy; sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Prior experience in a Sales role preferred.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Requirements:

  • Ability to work autonomously and self-direct work activities.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Great phone manner and proactive attitude towards role.
  • Sound level of numeracy and demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands.
