Giovanni Gubbels, Jeroen Kemp, and Coen van Boxtel started ChainCargo in 2018 with the idea of ​​making the transport market more sustainable and digital. By matching shippers to drivers who are already on the road, the digital road freight forwarder contributes to more efficient transport, fewer unnecessary kilometers, and a better environment. ChainCargo has over 40 employees and two offices in Eindhoven and Budapest. ChainCargo focuses on FTL transports within Europe and courier services in BeNeLux. ChainCargo has two products developed by in-house team: web application and mobile application. Via web application, shippers can book transport, organise their orders, and receive live status updates about their cargo. Via the same web system, carriers can manage the order delivery process, add their fleet, drivers, and bid on tenders. ChainCargo mobile application is intended for drivers. Drivers can update each step of the order delivery process directly on the app. This way, cargo can be tracked via live track&trace. As of April 2022, ChainCargo calculates CO2 emissions for every shipment booked via the platform and offsets 100% of those carbon emissions.

- The ideal candidate has a completed Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Operational or Business fields. - A minimum of 7 years of work experience in Supply Chain is required, with 3-7 years in a Senior Management role. - Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills at a strategic level are essential for success in this role. - The candidate should possess excellent business planning skills and expert-level knowledge in supply chain and logistics. - A proactive approach to change and innovation, along with the ability to cope with uncertainty, is crucial.
