Pharmacy Operations Sales Effectiveness Senior Advisor
Reporting to the Cigna Pharmacy Operations Enablement Senior Manager. This role is responsible for:
- Directing the team to lead large scale cross functional sales readiness plans, ensuring end to end readiness for Pharmacy related initiatives.
- Ensuring readiness plans are documented, managed and executed for all programs.
- Facilitating Run of Show for product launches, market announcements, and strategic initiatives.
- Partnering with Sales Leadership to identify skill gaps and deliver targeted learning solutions.
- Overseeing onboarding programs for new sales hires to ensure rapid ramp-up and consistent messaging.
- Providing strategic leadership and oversight for the design, development, and implementation of scalable training programs tailored to sales and account management teams. Including owning the full execution of the Annual Business Review.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure training initiatives align with business goals and market needs and are delivered in a timely effective manner.
- Setting clear objectives, timelines, and performance metrics for training program development and delivery.
- Coaching and supporting direct reports in instructional design, adult learning principles, and program effectiveness measurement.
- Monitoring and evaluating training outcomes to continuously improve content, delivery methods, and learner engagement.
- Championing a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the sales and account management organization.
Strategy, Planning and Execution:
- Leading development and execution of key projects in the evolution of retention of the book of business with focus on coordinating cross functional readiness activities in support of new products/initiatives.
- Collaborating with the sales leaders and matrix partners to deliver projects in support of organizational readiness needs of the market service strategy for new and existing products as well as non-product specific initiatives.
Project Management Leadership in support of evolving our Pharmacy business:
- Utilizes established project and program methodology to lead the execution of multiple project plans for assigned portfolio of work. Where the methodology is not sufficient, create and augment with new processes and establish best practices.
- Leads the evolution of readiness framework with overall accountability for issue remediation, priorities, key milestones, time estimates, task sequencing and identification of tasks that critical to achieve objectives.
- Ensures projects/intake requests and scope changes are managed effectively and within committed timelines to support clients and customers.
- Represents pharmacy sales across highly matrixed organization in support of work related to pharmacy business.
- Acts as a source of guidance for peers, providing leadership, and mentoring as well as acting as a trusted advisor.
- Resolves issues and determines contingency plans and triggers for risks. As needed, escalates issues to appropriate audiences including key business leaders and team members.
- Partners with matrix organizations to ensure that appropriate action is taken to identify and implement initiatives.
- Evaluates project status and resource utilization and engages leadership to implement changes.
- Develops and implements communication and reporting mechanisms to manage issues, risks and timely delivery of initiative results.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 8+ years of experience in strategic planning, development, implementation and maintenance of systems
- 6+ years' experience with strategy development, and process improvement
- PBM operations experience required.
- Ability to engage in a highly matrixed organization
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels and diverse partners, including executive leaders
- Strong business acumen, with proven ability to leverage knowledge base to quickly come up to speed in new business areas and new projects
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills
- Strong analytic and decision making abilities.
- Critical thinking skills
