The Assistant Manager – Inside Sales will play a key operational role in supporting and managing Inside Sales activities across assigned regions and territories. This position requires a strong understanding of sales processes, coordination with cross-functional teams, and the ability to drive performance through effective execution and oversight. The Assistant Manager will assist in managing budgets, driving account growth, and supporting the sales cycle in collaboration with the Inside Sales Manager and regional leadership. The individual will also contribute to tracking performance metrics, managing Accounts Receivable (AR), and ensuring alignment with strategic sales initiatives.
Lead a team of Inside Sales Managers, Team Leaders, and Associates across various territories, ensuring alignment with the company's sales targets and objectives. The Assistant Manager – Inside Sales will support regional Inside Sales efforts, working closely with Inside Sales Managers, Team Leaders, and Associates to ensure smooth execution of sales strategies, account management, and performance tracking. This role will help drive operational efficiency, ensure alignment with revenue targets, and support cross-functional coordination across assigned territories.
Assist in managing sales operations across assigned territories by working with Team Leaders and Inside Sales Managers. Support the development and implementation of regional sales plans and ensure timely follow-up on leads and opportunities. Monitor account activity and coordinate with teams to ensure regular client touchpoints and AR follow-ups. Assist in performance reviews of assigned regions and escalate issues to management as needed.
Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Coordinate with internal teams to support high-impact sales activities and ensure adherence to deadlines.
Collaborate with sales leadership to execute regional sales strategies and ensure team alignment with organizational goals. Drive the implementation of tactical sales campaigns and follow through on action plans. Track reasons for lost opportunities and coordinate corrective actions with the relevant teams.
Assist in tracking budgets, revenue, and AR collections for assigned territories in collaboration with finance and leadership. Ensure accurate reporting of financial metrics and support efforts to improve profitability.
Act as a point of contact between sales teams, finance, operations, and other departments to support smooth execution of initiatives. Provide regular updates to sales managers on key performance metrics, account health, and customer feedback.
Participate in improvement initiatives related to sales processes, tools, and systems. Support the rollout of new processes and monitor their effectiveness, suggesting improvements based on feedback and outcomes.
Champion a customer-first mindset within the team, ensuring quality engagement and issue resolution. Help segment and prioritize customer accounts to support targeted outreach and retention strategies.
Prepare and present reports and summaries for internal meetings. Communicate effectively with stakeholders across teams to ensure clarity on goals, expectations, and next steps.
Experience supporting sales teams across multiple territories, focusing on performance enablement and revenue support. Strong collaboration and stakeholder coordination skills across cross-functional teams. Proficient in executing sales processes and assisting with performance tracking and process improvements. Working knowledge of sales forecasting and budget monitoring. Problem-solving ability to support customer issue resolution and maintain satisfaction. Exposure to team development activities, including onboarding and performance support. Ability to leverage sales data and insights to track campaign effectiveness and identify business trends.
Master's or Bachelor's degree in sales or a related field. Good to have: Project management experience or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) to effectively lead and manage sales projects.
