Senior Sales Executive
A world leader in counter unmanned aerial vehicles (c-UAV) / counter-drone technologies is seeking an experienced sales executive to join the North American team. The position is based in McLean, VA and will focus on expanding business in several markets including defense, homeland security, law enforcement, and critical infrastructure sectors. The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for discovering, pursuing, and capturing new sales opportunities across assigned sectors, as well as building, maintaining, and developing a strong customer base.
Specific duties and activities include:
- Selling advanced CUAS product and solutions into one or more verticals, including the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and other Federal agencies, as well as Law Enforcement.
- Operating as a team player, openly communicating and sharing information with colleagues and leveraging internal expertise as needed to ensure collaboration and cooperation toward the achievement of business goals.
- Leveraging existing relationships to grow position and developing new relationships with customers and partners.
- Building, growing, validating, and maintaining a pipeline of identified and qualified opportunities.
- Driving deals to closure and upselling new capabilities to existing customers, including Warranty and Renewals.
- Maintaining relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance on current and emerging capabilities.
- Preparing frequent and periodic reports to include Sales forecast, pursuit capture plans, and other sales and forecast-related information to management.
- Maintaining a robust knowledge of customer requirements, contracting policies, and compliance requirements.
- Representing the company at industry-related events and attending relevant conferences and networking events.
Requirements include:
- Strong understanding and relationships within one or more verticals - Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Other Federal Agencies, and Law Enforcement.
- At least 7 years of proven experience in successfully executing and closing sales campaigns in relevant markets.
- Experience selling to the USAF and USN.
- Experience selling product solutions in the areas of hardware and RF.
- Based in the DC area.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong ability to lead sales engagements and meetings.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize efforts, and adjust quickly.
- Ability to travel frequently (~40%).
