The Job
Overall, by working closely with sales leaders and other internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for consolidating the sales team's skills to address the unique challenges of the healthcare industry, ensuring recognition from customers as the best field force and bringing the sales teams to the next level, preparing them to face the future challenges of the sector and company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, enhance, implement and deliver training programs aligned with business objectives and therapeutic areas strategy, covering areas such as technical, consultative selling skills, account management, negotiation, among others for new and existing Territory Managers.
- Continuously assess the training needs by direct observation in the field and by building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, such as marketing, BUs directors, sales director or regional managers.
- Measure and monitor the performance of trainees and the effectiveness of training programs to drive improvement.
- Develop, coordinate and facilitate onboarding programs for new hires.
- Monitor new hires, identifying areas of improvement and implementing reinforcement plans.
- Conduct virtual and in-person training sessions tailored to different experience levels and learning styles, assessing needs and supporting regional managers to design individual training plans.
- Provide continuous coaching & mentoring to Territory Managers and Regional Sales Managers to optimize sales strategies, raising the level of excellence towards the next generation field force.
- Ensure the adoption and continuous monitoring of our sales call model, acting as a catalyst for best practice sharing.
- Analyze the results of your coaching and enablement initiatives based on KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and derive concrete actions for performance enhancement.
- The sales trainer will be involved in implementing a Learning Management System focused on competency training for the sales frontline, establishing a virtual coaching culture incl AI (virtual practice), to ensure increased competency levels and call quality through more frequent, ongoing and adaptive training and insight-driven coaching and training opportunities through more data that enables better coaching for sales managers.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree, preferable in business administration, marketing, medical technology, health related sciences.
- MBA and coaching certification preferred.
- Solid understanding of the healthcare environment and a customer-centric approach.
- Proven experience in sales coaching / training, corporate sales or sales-related roles, with strong understanding of sales process and best practices sharing.
- In-depth knowledge of consultative sales methods with complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt global training concepts to local market needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills, along with strong persuasion and influencing abilities, all essential for delivering engagement of the teams.
- Excellent Spanish and English language communication skills- both written and verbal- to interact with our Sales Excellence Global Team. Portuguese valuable.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience collaborating with sales leadership and cross-functional teams.
- High level of digital mindset, proficiency with e-learning platforms, gamification and other digital learning tools. Creative and unusual thinking.
- Ability to develop training contents that supports and implements marketing strategies and product launches.
