Director of Sales & Business Development

As Director of Sales & Business Development, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding Cuisinart's market presence through pure play eCommerce accounts, Home Shopping, DRTV, and emerging distribution outlets. This role requires a forward-thinking sales leader who thrives on identifying new opportunities, building strong partnerships, and executing winning go-to-market strategies across both established and innovative sales channels.

You will lead new business acquisition, strengthen existing partnerships, and uncover untapped markets to accelerate Cuisinart's growth in the evolving retail landscape.

Sales Leadership & Channel Strategy

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy that delivers growth across pure play eCommerce platforms (i.e., Wayfair, etc.), Home Shopping (QVC/HSN), and DRTV.
  • Identify and evaluate new distribution outlets and alternative go-to-market opportunities for Cuisinart products.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to design compelling offers tailored to eCommerce and Home Shopping audiences.
  • Deliver revenue forecasts, performance insights, and market opportunities to senior leadership.

Business Development & Partnerships

  • Build, manage, and expand executive-level relationships with pure play eCommerce, Home Shopping, and DRTV partners.
  • Negotiate and secure Joint Business Plans, promotional partnerships, and product placement opportunities.
  • Represent Cuisinart at industry events, trade shows, and channel-specific forums to identify new opportunities.
  • Lead business case development for entry into new channels and innovative platforms.

Execution & Revenue Growth

  • Drive sell-in and sell-through by collaborating with cross-functional teams on promotional campaigns, pricing strategies, and merchandising.
  • Monitor and optimize sales performance metrics across eCommerce and DRTV to maximize ROI.
  • Implement data-driven approaches to track, measure, and refine channel-specific initiatives.
  • Deliver high-value sales presentations and negotiations to close complex deals.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a sales team focused on high-growth channels.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to deliver a seamless customer journey across new and traditional channels.
  • Provide insights into consumer behavior, category dynamics, and competitive trends that influence eCommerce and DRTV success.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience: 10+ years in senior sales leadership or business development, with expertise in eCommerce, Home Shopping, and DRTV preferred.
  • Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving significant revenue growth across digital-first and non-traditional retail channels.
  • Channel Expertise: Strong understanding of pure play eCommerce dynamics (Amazon, Wayfair, etc.), TV-driven retail, and alternative go-to-market models.
  • Business Development: Ability to identify, evaluate, and secure new market opportunities.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Skilled in structuring complex partnerships and securing high-value deals.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams.
  • Analytical: Data-driven decision maker with strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Communication: Excellent influencing, presentation, and relationship-building skills at the executive level.

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business when needed.
