The role of AVP, Account Sales Manager - Outdoor Power Equipment on the OUTDOOR Team (Powersports, Outdoor Power Equipment, Sporting Goods) is critical to the success of this fast-growing LIFESTYLE Platform business. The key responsibilities of the role are to partner directly with the VP, Client Leader, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of SYF Industry Programs and our Partnered Programs promotional finance strategy to drive sales & profitable growth for Synchrony, our partners, and the fragmented merchant channel. The ASM will be tasked to develop sales relationships with merchants across the OUTDOOR industries in an assigned Book of Business and support day-to-day responsibilities for our client relationships. The ASM will also help the CL drive strategic initiatives centered around growth, dealer penetration, portfolio performance and profitability. This position will work closely with the other members of the OUTDOOR Sales, Marketing, Finance, Underwriting, and Collections teams to support and deepen relationships with our partners and merchants. This role will have exposure to both PLCC and INSTALLMENT product offerings.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the SYF Outdoors leadership team, dealers, and the client to drive profitable sales and financial results.
  • Support our clients in defining monthly/annual sales and business goals, partner on strategy sessions, implement finance promotion strategies, interact with individual dealers, produce and present client reporting, as well as day-to-day client support.
  • Manage SYF & client initiatives, project planning, execution, and ongoing client communication that are focused on acquisition, activation, usage, and retention.
  • Own a dealer Book of Business and execute metric-driven disciplined account planning/management with application & sales goals, leveraging Sales Force to drive effective in-person, virtual, and phone visits and sales engagements.
  • Attend & support industry/client trade shows and meetings as needed.
  • Identify and share best practices with dealers & clients, as well as with peers
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales Support, 3rd party vendors, Operations, Marketing, Underwriting, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Compliance to ensure sales initiatives are executed, day-to-day escalated items are resolved, and support dealer requests.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preference towards Business, Marketing or Finance and 3+ years of related work experience; or in lieu of degree, HS diploma/GED and 5+ years of related work experience.
  • 3+ years of client-facing private label credit experience in Sales, Credit, Operations or Marketing.
  • 5+ years' expert experience with Excel and PPT with strong experience in reporting tools.
  • 1+ years of experience working with fragmented dealers/practices.
  • Proven track record of accountability and solid follow-up skills.
  • Up to 33% travel required
  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process.
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.
  • Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post.
  • All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
