Outside Sales Manager

Are you looking to develop your sales career in a position with un-capped commissions and a competitive base salary? Can you capitalize on these relationships to drive revenue in new or existing accounts?

We need a coachable, creative, and productive salesperson to service and sell energy management solutions and smart thermostats that are in extremely high demand in the French Hospitality and MDU sectors.

The Outside Sales Manager will be the primary point of contact for clients and will work closely with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and will accelerate the farming activities leading to new incremental sales.

As an Outside Sales Manager, you will:

  • Use our leads' sources to approach prospective businesses to set up in person and web presentations with qualified decision makers.
  • Hunt and recruit value added resellers who can create more sales volume in our target hospitality and MDU market accounts
  • Effectively conduct in person and web presentations using sales best practices
  • Present proposals that will show the Verdant value proposition and lead customer to a sale.
  • Follow up with clients and prospects via email, phone, and onsite visits to lead them to the next step
  • Manage your sales pipeline using a CRM and internal tools to ensure the shortest sales cycle.
  • Understand the client's business objectives and cycles to identify portfolio opportunities and drive growth.
  • Develop account plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure optimal customer service and experience.
  • Participate in face to face selling at trade shows.
  • Conduct on site visits and pilot coordination to understand client technical needs and foster strong account relationships.
  • Identify market influencers who can lead to in person and web meetings with focus decision makers
  • Drive to compete as a sales leader while still being a great team player.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • 5 years of inside B2B sales experience and account management experience selling in person over the phone or web
  • Strong record of success meeting sales goals within a sales team
  • Self-Starter that can creatively and consistently bring new business to the table without micromanagement.
  • Quick learning skills that allow you to excel with new markets, products and technology.
  • Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems is a definite asset.
  • Business savvy and a sense of urgency to guide a prospect through a longer sale cycle
  • Very comfortable with analytics and spreadsheets.
  • Superlative written and oral communication skills.
  • Fluent in French- written and oral.
  • Functional English: written and oral.
