Our Optical Communications segment is a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data, and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments, and individuals for their own use.

For our team in Germany (Home Office, based in Baden-Württemberg or Bavaria), we are looking for a Sales Manager Germany Carrier Networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow sales with direct accounts and channel partners to increase Corning's passive optical footprint in Germany.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and achieve individual revenue targets.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, provide forecast data, and other reports.
  • Provide market intelligence and "voice of customer" input to other functional departments.
  • Support regional marketing and market-communication events.
  • Ensure adherence to Corning's business processes and all other relevant policies and regulations.
  • Support Sales Management in all specifically assigned tasks and duties.

Requirements:

  • Team player spirit with high level of integrity.
  • Hunting attitude, shown sales capabilities with proven track record.
  • Good presentation, communication, management, and negotiation skills.
  • Relationship-oriented and result-driven.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment (home office).
  • Technical background, telecommunication background is an advantage.
  • Solid technical and business acumen with the ability to present and sell solutions in a business context.
  • Hands-on technical capabilities/experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to interface with C-Level executives, management, and technical decision-makers.
  • Bi-lingual (German/English), other languages are an advantage.
  • Ability to travel nationally/internationally (up to 40%).
  • Strong demonstrable ability to work independently and deliver output without close supervision.

  • Job location: Home Office, Baden-Württemberg or Bavaria.
