Logistic Account Sales Specialist

Reporting to the Senior Manager-Corovan Anywhere, the Logistic Account Sales Specialist is responsible for adding more value to sales opportunities by treating each individual presenting the opportunity as if they were the most important client they serve. The Logistics Account Sales Specialist must be highly responsive and uber attentive to the expressed immediate needs and objectives of the opportunity-giving person, and equally responsive and attentive to the communicated needs and objectives of the client to be served. Or by working directly with clients to find win-win opportunities that meet their needs and objectives while saving them time and money.

This position will act as a primary contact to Corovan Anywhere for Corovan Moving & Storage salespeople to entrust their clients with their commercial moving and storage needs outside of California. This position will be responsible for:

A) Increase sales revenue and markups; and, B) Coordinating required operational, pricing, accounting, and customer service events for each shipment assigned, with several shipments ongoing at once that are in different stages of completion. The Logistic Account Sales Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service for all internal/external customers by using excellent communication skills, and in-depth knowledge of the company's needs, objectives, and expectations, as well as each selected vendor's services and products. At minimum, this position will need to manage $1.5MIL in revenue per year by developing and maintaining great relationships with the Corovan Salespeople/buyers/customers.

Primary job function requires exceptional customer focus while concentrating on data collection and analysis of sales-related, and operational pricing/markup related information in order to accurately and effectively deliver customer perceived cost-efficient pricing and solutions. This is an independent contributor position, with no direct solicitation. This position is required to participate in bi-monthly team training/meetings. This position is also responsible for reporting and escalating any issues to their manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Duties:

Ensure sales revenue & markup targets are exceeding goals. Responsible to increase large projects and repetitive clients, while maintaining strong client-relationships. Aptitude to recognize and enhance opportunities that will dramatically increase Corovan Anywhere revenue and profit.

  • Build and maintain successful relationships with clients, Corovan sales associates, and internal Corovan departments with responsiveness, active listening, positive attitude, open and honest communication, respect, and appreciation.
  • Partner with sales to recommend other service lines to Sales Associates to find mis-opportunities within an order and to promote upselling to increase revenue.
  • Work directly with each client to ensure full completion of all necessary and required Corovan Anywhere Order Entry and Change Order documents for each project.
  • Develop successful relationships with Vendors, creating a mutual goal of customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Develop successful relationships with OMA Partners with each opportunity to work with an OMA Partner.

Logistics Transactional Duties:

Drive activities of logistics and sales team in a manner that increases brand awareness, service presence and track revenue generation for logistic services. Coordinate sales and transactional activity efforts with Clients, Corovan Senior Logistics Manager and Sales associates for maximum customer satisfaction while achieving above average gross profit returns through markups on vendor expenses. Monitor on a continual basis (daily/weekly) transactional service data. Communicate with Logistic Department trends and issues pertaining to customers, concerns, opportunities and trends. Disseminate customer information and job updates to Corovan Salespeople, Vendors, and the Logistic Team (when applicable) ensuring all service knowledge, initiatives and trends are up to date. Develop and nurture strong customer contacts and positive, proactive relationships with established client representatives, ensuring open and positive streams of communication. Process customer orders/changes according to established company process and practices. Plan, organize and execute logistics support activities such as follow up. Manage the logistical aspects of service life cycle for every customer need and requirement. Develop a common set of mutual expectations between Corovan Anywhere operations and the transportation, labor and storage operations regarding: Salesperson duties and responsibilities related to scope, including valuation and proper document utilization. Developing best practices for Corovan requirements related to shipment inventory, preparation, and communication. Team mentality in customer satisfaction. Never discuss pricing directly with the client. Develop proposals that include detailed scope matching the charges. Ensure Credit worthiness and work with Corovan Credit team on approvals and collections.

Compliance and Reporting:

Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks and service agreements. Develop and implement technical project management tools such as plans, schedules and responsibility and compliance matrices. Support team activities by establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of customer resources.

Customer Relations:

Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a logistics activity. Processes customer orders/changes according to established company process and practices. Develop and nurture strong vendor contacts. Oversee both frequent, existing customers and random customers for both in-country and international business. Explain proposed solutions to customers, management or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations. Works closely with internal departments to resolve any of customer's queries and disputes. Escalate timely feedback to the manager regarding service failure or customer concerns. Partner with sales and logistics team to meet and exceed customer's service expectation. Must follow all confidentiality rules regarding customer information. Handle customer complaints in a timely manner and escalate any pertinent matters to their manager. Must be courteous, helpful, and professional to all existing and potential customers, by interacting with customers in person and via telephone, fax, and email to ensure complete customer satisfaction in all matters related to the operation.

Training:

Training new salespeople on logistic operations to ensure a smooth sales process to get the best value for the customer. Participates in ongoing training and may assist with training of new employees through cross-functional collaboration between locations. Promote Corovan's Mission and Vision Statements. Continuously promotes compliance with company policies and procedures.

Safety:

Ensure the highest standards of safety, productivity and customer service are exceedingly daily.

Other Duties:

Adhere to meal and rest periods per Company policy. Other duties to meet business needs and requirements as assigned. Works with confidential data, which, if disclosed, might have significant internal or external effect.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Required: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five (5) years' experience working in customer service, preferably in an office environment. One (1) plus years sales experience. Experience in sales data collection and analysis. Proficient in MS Office, including MS Excel and MS Word.

Preferred: Inside sales experience in a service industry. Service industry experience highly desirable.
