Sales Manager – Banquet Sales
As our new Sales Manager – Banquet Sales, you will be at the forefront of driving revenue through social and corporate events, creating memorable experiences for our guests. From securing high-value banquet business to building long-term client relationships, you'll play a key role in maximizing event sales and enhancing the hotel's market presence.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
- Developing and managing relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding planners, and social clients to drive banquet and event revenue
- Actively prospecting and identifying new business opportunities for conferences, meetings, weddings, and social events
- Negotiating contracts, event packages, and pricing to maximize profitability while maintaining client satisfaction
- Conducting site inspections and client meetings to showcase banquet facilities and services
- Coordinating closely with operations, culinary, and events teams to ensure seamless execution of all events
- Representing the hotel at networking events, exhibitions, and sales initiatives to promote banquet offerings
- Collaborating with marketing teams to design targeted promotions and event campaigns
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to refine sales strategies
- Maintaining accurate records of leads, bookings, and account activity in CRM systems
- Ensuring exceptional client experiences from initial inquiry through event completion
What we need from you:
- Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Business Administration, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field
- 5–6 years of relevant experience in hotel sales, with a strong focus on banquet or event sales
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and successfully handling events and group business
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple events and clients simultaneously with attention to detail
- Knowledge of local banquet and events market trends
