This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how we engage with the Field, drive strategic growth, and elevate the Commercial business. As Executive Director, Strategic Sales Transformation, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for designing, implementing, and measuring initiatives that enhance sales effectiveness, operational integrity, and client-centric outcomes.

In this pivotal role, you'll guide a Field-centric transformation that empowers our sales teams and strengthens our Commercial & Specialty Markets strategy. You'll collaborate closely with critical business areas to align priorities and streamline execution. As a change champion, you'll drive bold, future-focused decisions that prioritize long-term value over short-term gains. Your leadership will shape strategic frameworks that will have enterprise-wide influence and position the organization for sustained success.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a team who leads strategic processes and ensures alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement methodologies for prioritizing and executing strategic initiatives.
  • Design and oversee programs that formulate, research, and communicate strategic, operational, and financial business plans.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure strategic alignment and performance tracking.
  • Deliver actionable plans to address business unit challenges and opportunities.
  • Communicate the impact of internal and external environmental factors on business strategy.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team through feedback, coaching, and formal reviews.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in health care, insurance or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic program/project management.
  • 5+ years of direct management or matrixed management experience.
  • Proven experience in a Field-facing role or exposure to Field operations.
  • Understanding of the Commercial business and its key business partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to champion change and lead transformation initiatives.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate future trends and implications.
  • Highly execution-oriented, with a track record of delivering complex initiatives.
  • Effective decision-maker, willing to make bold choices for benefit of the organization and Field colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the Aetna business.
  • Expertise in business intelligence and strategic planning tools.
  • Strong collaboration and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
  • Growth mindset with a focus on continuous development—for self and others.
  • Mastery in problem-solving and navigating ambiguity.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant professional qualification.
  • Advanced degree preferred.

Pay Range:

The typical pay range for this role is: $131,500.00 - $303,195.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
