Sales & Operations Manager

Cyclyx International, LLC ("Cyclyx") is a pioneer in the plastic value chain, leveraging our proprietary technology to convert post-use plastic waste into high-quality feedstock for recycling. We provide customized solutions for brands and companies aiming to achieve their recycled content goals, actively supporting the development of a circular economy.

Our state-of-the-art Circularity Center, currently under construction in Houston, TX, will be the first large scale facility in the United States, designed to process a diverse range of post-consumer, commercial, and industrial plastic waste. This innovative center will have the capacity to produce 300 million pounds of custom-formulated feedstock per year and convert it into ISCC-PLUS-certified feedstock suitable for mechanical and advanced recycling applications.

Role Overview

The S&OP Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and leading the company's Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This role orchestrates the integration of demand, supply, and business objectives into a single aligned plan, ensuring consistency across functions and driving improved service, inventory, and operational performance. The S&OP Manager consolidates and challenges input from cross-functional stakeholders, facilitates the S&OP cycle, and ensures that leadership decisions are supported by accurate analysis and clear recommendations.

This is a mid-career role that combines strong planning expertise with process leadership. The position requires influence across the organization, as well as the ability to educate, engage, and drive adherence to a structured planning rhythm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the S&OP process to maturity.
  • Own and manage the monthly S&OP cycle, including demand review, supply review, alignment meeting, and executive S&OP.
  • Facilitate and orchestrate meetings across functions (sales, supply chain, operations, finance, and leadership) to ensure alignment of assumptions, risks, and decisions.
  • Consolidate demand and supply inputs into scenario-based recommendations and present clear options for leadership decision-making.
  • Track actions, decisions, and escalations from S&OP cycles to ensure accountability and closure.
  • Build transparency and trust in the process through consistent communication and structured reporting.
  • Lead initial change management efforts to educate stakeholders on the purpose, mechanics, and benefits of the S&OP process.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and commercial teams to consolidate demand forecasts at the product group level.
  • Support demand planning by challenging assumptions, validating historical trends, and ensuring forecasts are data-driven.
  • Align supply planning assumptions with operations, procurement and logistics, ensuring capacity and material/feedstock availability are reflected in the consolidated plan.
  • Monitor risks and gaps between demand and supply and escalate issues proactively for resolution.
  • Work closely with the Tolling and Logistics functions to align supply scenarios with operational feasibility.
  • Maintain forecast accuracy and bias tracking and support continuous improvement in demand/supply planning quality.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or related functions.
  • Prior experience contributing to or leading S&OP / IBP processes preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience with ERP and planning systems (D365 experience a plus) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and change management capabilities.

Education/Training

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred but not required.

Position Mechanics

  • Reports to: Tolling Director
  • Type: Exempt; Full-time
  • Work Hours: Standard business hours with flexibility to support S&OP cycle requirements
  • Location: The Woodlands, Houston, TX
  • Work Environment: Primarily office environment with occasional exposure to operational/industrial settings (PPE required as applicable).
  • Travel: Moderate – up to 20% for site visits, stakeholder engagement, or key customer meetings.
  • Physical Demand is substantially that of an office environment. Occasional lifting and manual work.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status.
